Frequently Asked Questions

How long does my hair need to be to get waxed?

For proper hair growth length, it should be at least three weeks of growth from your last shave. The hair should be about 1/4″ long (or just a long as a grain of long grain rice) but the longer the better.

Should I trim my hair?

No that’s okay. If any trimming is required it’s best to leave it to the professional. Most times guests may trim the hair too short then we’re unable to wax it.

Is there anything I can do to make the service easy?

Try not to drink caffeine prior to the appointment or being close to your menstrual cycle can increase sensitivity to the area. If you are concerned with any pain involved, usually ibuprofen an hour prior to your appointment time can help with that.

If there is any irritation, how long does it usually last?

Depending on the type of skin and hair you have, everyone’s skin can react differently. Some people experience “wax bumps” in some of the areas where the hair was removed but as your skin gets used to waxing, over time this diminishes. We do carry after-care products that you can use at home. Or sometimes a mixture of hydrocortisone cream + Neosporin applied to the area a couple of days after usually helps as well.

When should I come back for maintenance?

Generally, a good maintenance interval ranges between 3-6 weeks depending on which area you’re getting waxed.

Did I pay for my service when I booked my appointment online?

No, you did not. Payment information is just taken to reserve your appointment. Payment is due upon completion of your service.

How old do you need to be to get waxed?

You must be at least 18 years of age to be waxed. If you are younger than 18 years old, your parent and /or guardian will have to be with you during your appointment.
